WEEK TWO: MAKE YOUR WIKI LOOK AND WORK LIKE A WEBSITE (15 May - 20 May)

This week we will look at the following:

Week 2a: Add navigation pages to your wiki

Week 2b: Add gadgets and Twitter to your wiki

Week 2c: Make an attractive header

Week 2d: Add your reflection for the week

Week 2e: Listen to a webinar on this week's tasks if you would like to

Week 2a: Add navigation pages to your wiki

Our first task this week is to add navigation pages to our wiki. To do this please follow the instructions in this Slideshare. This definitely gives the wiki a website feel.

Week 2b: Add gadgets and Twitter to your wiki

This is an optional task. This Slideshare shows you how to add two gadgets, Clustr maps and Feedjit plus Twitter to your wiki.

Week 2c: Make an attractive header

Instead of putting this into Slideshare as I normally do, I uploaded it to Box.net and then obtained an embed code - another way of presenting information on a wiki. This can be embedded on a wiki etc. but unlike Slideshare it only shows on the wiki whereas anyone who follows you on Slideshare can access the information.

Week 2d: Add your reflection for the week

Now it is time to add a comment for the week just to let us know how all is going. Have you made your wiki yet? Have you managed the navigation pages? Are you just too busy at school? Whatever the situation, tell us about it. You will find the link below:

Week 2e: Listen to a webinar on this week's tasks if you would like to

This is a demonstration of how to add the two gadgets, Clustr maps and Feedjit, plus how to add an attractive Header to your wiki. This webinar took place on Thursday 17th May at 6pm. You are welcome to listen in if you would like to follow a hands on demonstration with sound.
